They aren't even really all that innovative. FNH has had forward and downward ejection bullpups starting in the 80s or 90s (P90 and F2000).

Kel Tec just upped the caliber.

Actually, having thought of that, it almost seems like Kel Tec has it out for FN with all that and the PMR30 looking like the ugly half sister of the FiveSeven...

And even a shotgun with 2 tubular mags wasn't an original idea. To be honest though, I want a KSG just because.

The P90 does downward ejection while having a top fed mag, so it is easy. The RDB does the downward ejection while having a traditional bottom fed mag, which is much trickier.

The only trick is getting the ejector to wait and make the bolt cycle longer. It may be slightly different, but the idea was already out there.

Which idea of the M16 design wasnt already out there? I find the RDB design to be amazing, solving all the issues from bullpups, but yeah, we all have reservations aboute Kel-Tec delivering it.

What does the RDB solve that the F2000 didn't solve 20 years ago?

The concept is cool. Glad to see others doing it. However, I think Kel Tec gets a little more credit for innovation than they deserve.

A much better trigger, slimmer design, faster mag changes.

Those are all ergonomic changes, hardly innovation. Better trigger is subjective. All bullpups suffer from slow mag changes compared to the M4 due to the design. What quantifies slimmer? It obviously looks less bulky, but does it benefit the shooter in any way?

LOL, so a 5lbs trigger is only "subjectively" better than one around 9lbs?

Yes. Objectively, it's lighter. Better is not a quantifiable term and cannot be universally applied.
