I'm late to the party, but for the same gun, years ago I settled on an Uncle Mike's shoulder holster. For me it was far more comfortable for such a heavy gun than any belt holster I tried. Plus it was relatively inexpensive. As an aside, what a great revolver choice you made!

Search the used market (unfortunately they are no longer made, but you see them from time to time) for a Dick Murray hunting holster. It is a thumb break, flap holster made of high quality saddle grade leather. It protects the weapon from damage with the flap but is rapid to a access via the thumb break. It features a reverse cant when worn strong side and also lends itself well to crossdraw if preferred. If you can find one you'll dig it, can't say enough good about it.

Note the one I have was made for a Ruger Bisley SA 5.5" but has work perfectly with a 5.5" Redhawk and 4"& 5" S&W N frames.
