    Yea there greatest thing since slice bread the AVA. if you don't mind doing with out a sling.....

    AVA mount includes a QD swivel dock...older pic before I removed the stock sling loop.

    Really sucks you have to remove your OEM ring other than that it's the best thing since slice bread..............

    ok I see what you got do you have to have your OEM ring on the bottom? or can you turn it to it's side?

    Disagree...high quality QD docks are very robust. You can retain the OEM sling loop if you wish to run a convention sling attachment but in order to do so its best if you remove a small amount of material right where the loop mount assembly contacts the body of the light as its a slight interference fit. QD docks, so long as they are high-quality (i.e. BCM, Noveske, ect) make a lot of sense in a fighting long gun. Most premium sling vendors now include sewn in QD swivels as an extra cost option. Just as one data point, I ran QD swivels and docks on my M4 carbine for a tour in Iraq in 2011 and have nothing but praise for the concept.

    A few new bits for my M4. Picked up a Scalar Works rail/RMR mount. Darn nice piece. Co-witness is possible with the optic and sights.

    When you add a battery, the sight must be removed. Do you then have to re-zero?

    Is it also designed for a shotgun?
