I am definitely game for a Galil ACE. It's the closest thing I'll ever get to a Sako M92.

What is there not to like? Cold-hammer forged barrel, a better-than AK charging handle & safety switch, it uses AK-47 mags and you can mount an Aimpoint on the top rail. The handguard could be longer, but I'm sure someone (like Midwest Industries) will come along with an extension rail for the rifle.

If they are using a US std thread for the flash hider, I could potentially put my Surefire can on it. I just wonder how well it will run suppressed and if a heavier spring will need to be used since the gas system is not adjustable on this rifle. Likewise, I wonder how well the rail will hold zero (which is the Achilles heal of all AK variants with this sort of set-up). It's not a precision rifle for sure, more like minute of man to 200-300 yards. I'm sure the buttstock is fine on the ACE, but we won't know until we lay hands on one.

The best part about this rifle will be the ability to use cheap 7.62 Soviet ammo. It's the perfect non-AR carbine for use < 300 yards if you get sick of your M4. Of course, I do own a SCAR-17, but you have to give it an AK variant buddy
