Second Custom Build - CMT hunting rifle.

    Here's my 2nd custom build.

    Specs.
    CMT billet lower.
    CMT UPR billet upper.
Rainier Arms UltraMatch .223 wylde 16" barrel w/ Rainier Match gas block.
    Geissele SMR MkII 15"
    Geissele SSA-E trigger.
    Young BCG.
    PWS H2 buffer.
    Spikes LPK.
KNS Precision take down pins and detents.
    BADASS 45 degree ambi safety.
    Magpul MOE+ grip.
    Magpul UBR stock.
    AAC 51T brake.
    BCM Mod 4 charging handle.
Nikon M223 4-16X42SF scope in LaRue mount.
    Harris / LaRue bipod.

I originally got a Black Rain Ordnance lower and CMT upper. The BRO lower severely lacked in quality and I didn't like mis-matched receivers.

They lined up poorly and the CMT quality is way far and beyond the BRO.

    CMT lower.

    Lots of goodies.

    Completed lower.

    Geissele SMR MkII rail.

    Rainier Arms UltraMatch barrel.

    Upper semi-together.

Geissele also uses a really beefy barrel nut with an extremely tight inner diameter fit.

Crown on the Rainier Arms barrel.

I considered running a Geissele SMR Mk IV Keymod rail but didn't like the way it looked with the 16" barrel.

    Young MFG BCG

Completed but missing optics and the BADASS ambi.

    Nikon scope.

Completed rifle with no BADASS ambi.

BADASS ambi added and Seekins magazine release.

I had a little fun with it and swapped on the Geissele SMR MkIV and the Vortex scope along with other assorted images.

Awesome job Aaron. Both of your builds have been excellent. Like the previous poster said, it's cool how we get a photographic look of how this project developed.

I like taking pictures. You can see how my photo skills developed from build one to build two. Thanks for the compliment though.

Very clean well thought out build, I like it. I have a Rainier Arms match barrel as well and the thing has been an absolute hammer. It loves 69 grain SMK's and I'm working up some 77 grain SMK's for it.

Nice build. I see a lot of the same parts I was looking at for a build. Is the Rainier barrel the polygonal one?
Looking for someone who can make a polygonal 1911 barrel for my father. IM me if you can help.
