18 inch, Rifle lenght gas system, melonite barrel suggestions

    I can't find a barrel with the following specs;

    18 inch
    4150 or 4140 steel
Rifle Gas System (appropriate port size for the short dwell)
    M4 Barrel Extension
    .223 Wylde Chamber
    1/8 Twist Rate
    Melonite/Nitride Finish
    Standard 1/2X28 Muzzle Threading
Barrel Weight no more than 2lbs (medium to heavy profile with flutes)

Anyone have any suggestions on who might make one. I've tried CMMG, DPMS, Sionics, Odin Works, Spikes and a few others.

    Thanks.

Voodoo innovations makes an ultra light. I use a Rainier Arms Mountain Series 18" gov profile with rifle gas. It's a 1:7 chrome lined CHF with 5.56 NATO chamber. It meets your weight requirement though.

How about the hybrid contour Criterion 18" sold at Brownells? 2.23lbs and no Nitride/flutes, but hits everything else.

Excellent barrel but pretty heavy compared to the RA.

    Nice, Thank you constructor.

Looks like the credit card bill is going to be painful next month.

Now I wonder if Spikes would make a DynaComp Short with a 5/8-24 thread....
never hurts to ask (unless your asking to be hurt).

Would mind throwing a link to the product page once you buy for the cheap seats?

I so hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot as I'm waiting for some offline words with constructor:
