Did LMT stop making the 12.5" piston upper?

    Calling all LMT experts.

I'm looking at buying a MRP 12/12.5" piston upper.

I want to use this in conjunction with a Surefire SOCOM762-RC and would prefer the 12.5" if that makes removing the piston easier over the muzzle brake.

But, LMT's site, and every dealer only lists the 12.0".

Did they change the 12.5 to 12.0" ?

As far as I know, it's never been a 12.5" barrel. It's only been a 12" which give the extra 1.5"'s to the piston itself. 1.5" up from the 10.5" barrel, of which I utilize.

It is a 12" barrel. For whatever reason over the years, people (myself included) have called it a 12.5 barrel. Just one of those things that sticks. DSG sells it as a 12.5 even though the description lists a 12" barrel. I believe the 6.8 barrel is a legit 12.5.

It won't be a problem to remove the piston assembly with the SF muzzle devices installed.

I'll have to check out the SF muzzle device.

Sorry in advance if I'm derailing here.

But can anyone confirm whether or not the 12" piston barrel will fit onto the slick rail MRP chassis? I tried emailing LMT, but they never replied.

I had heard the slick rail chassis is just a little longer than the standard CQB MRP, but I couldn't find any actual measurements anywhere including LMT's website.

I see from that picture right above what looks like the slick upper, but I can't tell if that's with the piston conversion.

    Thanks
