I see no downside to this whatsoever.

As soon as I get the testicular fortitude!

Actually, I need to get the last bits and pieces for it, take a bunch of pics in proper configurations and then it'll be ready for the laundry bag treatment.

I'm thoroughly documenting this build so I want it to be 100% complete "as issued", before I enter the "as deployed" phase of the project.

Phase 2 will be paint, rubber bands, Chem lights, GPS mounts, quick reference sheets, cleaning rods, battery tubes shoved in backwards, etc.

Why? Why would you do that?

Finally received my new PEQ-15 from TNVC (which replaced my PEQ-15 VIS).

Sorry about the quality of the photo. I'll update this thread later when I get the good camera out.

As for the phase 2 just tie it up and drag it behind a truck off road for a while and it will fit right in with some of the ones in our arms room.

Headed off to the farm tomorrow and taking 2K rounds of ZQ 62 Gr. I'm going to shoot the snot out of this thing!

I have a question since I'm getting close to this part. Is there a reason you went with the SF RC suppressor rather than the SF Mini?

I'm currently having the weight / length vs. suppression level debate in my head.

I went with "as issued" items. I was unaware that the mini was being issued, otherwise I might have considered it.

Nice. I've spent way to much on my Block II M4 as well. This thread makes me want to build an SBR.

I have no idea if the Mini is an issue suppressor or not. I keep forgetting you are doing a "exact copy" rifle.
