PFran, Is there a reason for running the KAC front sight with no rear sight? Not trying to be a dick, just curious.

No offense taken. A thorough review of "in the wild" pics reveal that many fielded CQBRs are being run without rear BUIS (some don't run the front BUIS either). Many find the eye relief on the ELCAN places you too far forward over the upper receiver when the optic is mounted in front of the rear BUIS.
A great example of this (although not a CQBR) is the pic of the HK 416 from No Easy Day. No BUIS whatsoever:
