    Something different

Built from a dissipator. Spikes lower, Colt stock, spikes bolt, areo precision upper, model 1 sales dissipator barrel kit, Samson keymod rail.

Would you care to explain the thought behind this or was it simply emptying out spare parts?

I concur. Seems that a slightly longer handguard and gas system would give more gripping real estate and possibly longer parts life.

Well she started out as a regular dissipator as this picture shows. But the cerakote didn't match and it was driving me crazy, so time to change. I started looking for new hand guards and stock. Got the samson and sale and picked the stock off another site. I was wanting to go with just a standard carbine look, but the fsb is pinned, so if I took it off I would have 2 notches on the barrel. So I tried the out the look on gunstruction. I liked the different look and so here she sits. As for longer life on parts, I don't understand. The parts well last as long as any other carbine rifle.

I probably could have traded for mid length rail but I liked the look so I didn't. I don't plan on any lights or lasers so no need for extra rail.

It's different. That's true. By longer life I imagine he is saying why didn't you go with a longer gas system or the assumption is that the Model 1 Sales gas port is the size of a whales vagina. Or both.

The point being that Model 1 is Tier 1 garbage. You also have an exposed barrel and the high probability of getting burned. There are other rail options that would have been available.
