    Simple gun.

    Well here it is...

The goal was to keep this simple for me to use anytime as a bang around gun/truck gun/ or wtf else you want to call it.

The lower is a AXTS ADAC-F lower with the proprietary bolt catch system that allows you to use the magazine catch to lock the bolt back. Here are some pics of the differences.

AXTS parts on the left Colt parts on the right.

Hole drilled in the receiver for pin pictured above.

The rest of the lower parts are as followed.

ALG ACT trigger - use this in all my guns now
BAD Ambi safety short throw - lower was designed to use it so I figured I'd try it
BAD Enhanced Take down Pins - the colt kit I got came with the screw pin so I replaced it with these and they work great also.
Magpul enhanced trigger guard - self explanatory
BCM Mod 0 grip - So far the most comfortable grip I have used
Vltor RE - had it so I used it
Colt h2 buffer and BCM carbine spring
All other small parts are Colt

The upper is pretty simple 16 inch middy govt profile barrel. Couldn't pass up the deal BCM offered.
    BCM UPPER
    BCM BCG
    BCM COMP
MAGPUL Handguards - picked up on the E&E with the QD mount installed
Scout light and MOE scout light mount - had the light seemed like a chance to try the mount out, no complaints so far.
Carry handle and fixed FSB - keeps it simple

Hanging out with the little brother...

Great build. It looks very similar to mine, 16" BCM middy upper, with a DD fixed rear sight and A2 front site. I am a lefty, so the BAD safety selector (long on the right, short on the left), BCM Gunfighter ambi CH, and Troy ambi mag release were added as funds were available.

Question: how does the BCM comp feel to you? Is the difference significant from an A2 birdcage?

I had a DD rear sight on there but determined this upper will probably never have optics on it.

I only have like 30rds through the gun so I have not really made a determination about the BCM comp yet. I usually use SF brakes or flash hiders, been a while since I used an A2. I'll let you know how it goes though as I get more rounds down range.

Lookin' good! I like simple too but I'm slowly getting into modern platforms myself.

It's simple and pragmatic, which is always nice. I was running a 16" BCM LW upper in a similar configuration earlier this year.

I have since put the XPS-2 back on it and moved the carry handle sights to a 20" government upper. How do you like the AXTS receiver? I've always been intrigued by them.

Not bad so far, I like the idea behind it. I actually think once more rounds get down range with the lower that I will SBR it and put this upper on a blem BCM lower.
