Same as last except with LAV serial

    Gold front bead.
If true I called this back in May, totally makes sense to me for my reasoning I stated then.

Heres my thinking on this. LAV has said repeatedly, that at least on a 1911, a Grey frame and black slide are his favorite. Previously until his offering this was not available on a Glock Gen3.

Why would he do it again? Because the last run of grey frames was not perfect. Huge issue, for some one in the industry who is making their 'perfect' gun with their name on it, his name was not on it. Someone screwed up getting 'LAV' serial numbers on the last run. LAV has also stated he prefers Gold bead front sights, this run will have them. Last small issue, the last grey guns came with a black and not grey butt plug, tango down has a grey butt plug now.

I could see how he would be frustrated by the last run and want to make this run the perfect "LAV' Glock: RTF2 Gen.3, Grey flame, black slide, Gold Bead FS, 'LAV' prefix serial number and all the details just right like the grey butt plug.

I'll still buy another grey one or two, but really hope for some sort of variation here, or at least green down the road some day.

Based on my info, you predicted correctly.

We have established that it isnt green or Tiffany Blue (which I would've bought just for the sheer stupidity of it) so it's one of the other three I previously listed, hence my disappointment.
And yes, sand/tan/coyote or some slight modification of FDE would be a disappointment as well.

BTW, these are true OD green, not the current battlefield green. There were 6 in stock, but I picked one up a few weeks ago.

    Funny! That's a picture of a Gen3.

They used Gen 3 stock photos for color purposes only. I called to verify the generation before placing my order. I'm happy to say that what shipped was indeed a gen 4. Interestingly, the spent casing that came with it was over 3 years old (I don't recall the exact date).

You're confused. The Gen 4 OD green is different from the Gen 3 OD, which is of course different than the BFG.

That adds up. The Gen 4 ODs hit the market in 2013.
