Very interested in getting my hands one since I've been wanting a gen3 19 but never liked the grip texture. Never tried the rtf2 but it looks like what Im lookin for. As far as the pistol goes fresh out of the case, am I right in assuming everything is exactly like a standard gen 3 aside from the fde, texture, and sights until you add the extras it comes with?

Ditto for me on the sights.

My trigger is a little heavy for my tastes (I'm a 1911 guy). However, I dropped in a "-" connector and then it was too light for my tastes. I'm hoping the stock trigger breaks in some. I haven't had a Glock since 1992 and I'm loving it so far.

I put a dot connector in mine and I'm quite pleased with it. You could also consider putting a NY1 spring in yours.

Can anyone tell me if a Trijicon HD front sight would work with the stock LAV rear sight?
I really like the LAV rear, but this front sight needs to be much brighter for me. I love the Triji HD's

Yes HD fronts are .215 they match up with the LAV rear depending on you cal. The only issue i had with it was the hds are quite wide and fill nearly the entire rear sight notch.

I've gotten ~1,000 out of my LAV 17 and probably ~200 with the LAV 19. So far it's great!

They are the only Glocks I own anymore.

Sorry yeah the LAV guns are 9mm I have several different caliber glocks with this same sight set up. The .45, 10mm require taller front sights. That aside yes the sights will work sorry again

Thanks Guns up, I gotcha. Another question for you LAV G19 guys.... Can anyone definitively tell me if there is a particular/specific shade of FDE cerakote to be used doing the G19 slide? Or is there only one shade of FDE Cerakote?
