My DMR is set up in a similar manner as you describe for your "urban sniper" rig, it's definitely more precision oriented with a NF 2.5-10, Geissele trigger, and heavier contour WOA barrel. Using 77 grain match it's pretty wicked out to 600+ and even with M855 I can pretty consistently hit a IPSC silhouette at 600 yards.

I like the TAC30 but part of me wishes they still made the FDE version though.

How is the balance of the rifle? I would think that the lack of weight in the CTR might make it a little front heavy?

Just finished up another Recce the other day.

Radical Firearms 16" Mid Length Barrel - 1:7 Twist - SOCOM Contour - QPQ Melonite
Smith & Wesson Enhanced Enhanced Flash Hider

MAGPUL MBUS Gen 2 Front & Rear Flip-up Sights (black)
    Harris Bipod BRM
    MAGPUL M-LOK Bipod Mount
VORTEX VIPER PST 1-4x24 TMCQ MOA scope
    VORTEX/American Defense RECON-X 30mm QD mount

    Lower Receiver:
    C3 Defense Billet Lower Receiver
MAGPUL B.A.D Lever - Battery Assist Device
    MAGPUL Trigger Guard (black)
    BCM Stock Mounting Kit (Mil-Spec)
    LaRue Tactical R.A.T. Stock (black)
LaRue Tactical A-PEG Pistol Grip (textured, black)
KNS Precision Gen 2 Anti Rotation Trigger and Hammer Pins (Standard)

I had it at the range yesterday and the Radical Firearms barrel performed well @ 100 yards. I will see how it does over more use. For the price, it is worth the gamble. Since I have 29 other ARs, I have enough to choose from should I need something else.

The balance is pretty good, the barrel is a M4 contour and combined with the KMR-13 there isn't a lot of weight up front compared to everything behind it. That being said I'm considering swapping the stock out for something that has a butt pad that's not contoured like the CTR's is and go for something like the B5 SOPMOD. That might add a little weight to the rear.
