For the lizard drill, the longest string of fire is 10 yards. In practice, I think I've only shot the J frame only at 20 yards. Keeping it in the 0 zone in the IDPA target is pretty tough at 20 yards, I have to really concentrate on smooth trigger press and holding that sight picture.

Thank you. I like to mix things up with my training and appreciate input from fellow J Frame shooters.

Finally got the scores from my friend:

    LCR .22LR: PASSED

    1. 1.34
    2. 2.05 (fumbled draw)
    3. 1.67
    4. 2.41

    J frame 642: PASSED

    1. 1.33
    2. 2.45
    3. 2.33
    4. 2.69 (over 2.5 sec. but within the allotted 0.25 buzzer) So I'll give myself a pass

Second run with the J frame had a couple of misses but the times were good, so I gave myself a FAIL.

We also "re-enact" the alley scene from the movie Collateral that Larry Vickers reproduced on youtube last week. By the time we got to that drill, I was out of all other ammos, so I shot it with the .22LR LCR. My time was 3.09 second (from the pocket).

We shot the "1-2-3" Drill. It is done from 5 yards, 10 yards and 20 yards.
From each distance (let's say the 5 yard line), you shoot three separate timed strings. String 1 is 1 shot, string 2 is 2 shots and string 3 is ...... guess what 3 shots. That's why it's called the 1-2-3 drill.
You then repeat the same strings from the 10 and 20 yard line. I shot it with the LCR .22 all drawing from the pocket with the hand already on the gun.

    5yd:
    1. 1.90
    2. 2.59
    3. 3.19

    10 yd:
    1. 1.76
    2. 2.37
    3. 3.00

    20 yd:
    1. 1.90
    2. 2.88
    3. 3.64

    Total points down: 7
