    Accidentally ran my AR dry....

Quick question.... I feel like an idiot but through some mistakes (I assumed that the new unfired rifle I bought was lubed) I ended up running my AR15 dry for close to 300 rounds. Should I be worried about damage or was that not enough rounds for me to be concerned?

Naw man you'll be fine, don't sweat it. What brand is it though? Usually they have something on there so they're not completely dry.

It will be a little dirty, but not damaged. Just for curiosity's sake, how many malfunctions did you have, if any, on the dry gun?

    Nothing to worry about.

Good to see someone that seems new to AR's purchase a quality rifle, good decision. Daniel Defense is a top notch manufacturer, enjoy.

EDIT : Also wanted to say if you are looking for CORRECT information, this is the place to be.
Be careful over on GT, they spew a lot of nonsense over there. The guys here are helpful and really know their stuff.

Won't hurt a thing. A buddy of mine has put about 3K rounds through a suppressed 6945 with NO LUBE. It runs fine.

I don't think lubed the first 2 or 3 I bought before shooting and they all have been fine.
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

Zero. It ran perfectly on PMC .223 and American Eagle 5.56.

You'll be good to go. Just don't forget to apologize to it...

I'm very new to the AR platform, this is my first one. I was hesitant to spend the extra money on the DD at first but the more I thought about it the more sense it made.
