Do you have an Government purchase card (IMPAC) holder in your unit? They maybe able to order it from a vendor. Some small items just don't exist in the supply chain. A lot of companies will offer a good discount if an order is placed on a GOV. card.

Your unit supply should be able to buy them commercially using the unit Visa GPC (formerly the 'IMPAC card'). You can also take the above machinist drawing to a machinist and have them made. Your GS maintenance will have this service. If deployed, KBR or AMC will have machining services.

not sure if this helps, but I have a copy of the Canadian Colt mx manual:

Maintenance Instructions, C7 Family of Combat Weapons, dated 2005-09-20 and it lists the following info:

    P/N 8490126-1
Wrench, Front & Rear Sight Adj, C7, C8
    NSN 5120-21-897-3784

and when I googled the NSN I got the following link

If you used a cartridge to adjust the front sight on the crappy aluminum YHM sights that were included on our Bushamster carbines they would get damaged. These are the absolute worst sights that I have ever seen and they are ridiculously priced. Personally I would just buy a few out of pocket, **** it.
