Oh so it's not so much of an upgrade for the Scout, but more of a budget alternative.

well, the surefire KE1A head is 200 lumens and the malkoff is 280 lumens, so it's an upgrade in brightness.

Yeah. I was beaming my living room wall last night. And not only is the Malkoff/Arisaka smaller and lighter, but the beam quality is clearly better... better spill, etc.

I hope malkoff realizes they will soon be selling a ships ton of heads and ramp up production accordingly lol. I'm in for atleast 2.

    ETA:

I also hope they at some point in the future add a higher output head for the full size scout lights.

Malkoff has always had high demand. And it's not uncommon to be doing a lot of waiting for his various light heads.

Light mount was waiting on the porch when I got home yesterday. Very well made, clean machining and good finish. Feels rock solid. I think it would be a good buy for significantly more $$$....

Wow you guys...I haven't even done a news release on them yet. Thank you for your support! I literally just got off the road from a 9 hour drive and flipped the switch on the product page while sitting here putting on o-rings and packaging the bodies up.
