Quick question about firing pin movement..

    Hey All,

Sorry for the noob question, new to the AR15, and did my first strip and cleaning last night. When I reassemblied my BCG, I put the firing pin in all the way, and then insert the firing retention pin. My firing pin will not fall out, but has some slight tavel. (My guess is because it does not catch until farther down the firing pin). My understanding is the firing pin is free floating so this is not a problem. When I reassembled the ar15, If I tilt the rifle, I can hear the pin move. Is this normal? I did a function check and everything checks out. I plan to go to the range again today but wanted to get some more info before I do.

Slight travel when reassembled is normal. You are gonna make me shake my rifle to see if I can hear the firing pin sliding around now.
