BCM Gunfighter Stock Disassembly
Hey folks, I just picked up a BCM Gunfighter stock for my new build, and need to drop it off at the cerakote place tomorrow to get work done. Does anyone have any advice or instructions on how to disassemble it? I've got the rear section off, but am having problems figuring out how to remove the lever without breaking it. So far I've had no luck finding disassembly instructions.
Here's what I have.
Picture of the lever cover I'm talking about:

Removal?
What am I doing wrong? Can't remove the stock after following instructions:
9. To remove the stock, repeat Steps 1, 4, 5 and 6; then pull stock off of the receiver extension.
1. WARNING: Make sure that the weapon is unloaded, the magazine has been removed, and the chamber is empty.
4. Squeeze external hand lever until holes on both sides of the stock align with the holes inside the stock.
5. Insert a rod (diameter of an AR-style platform firing pin) into the holes, until the rod is visible through and protruding to the other side.
6. Pull external hand lever down while keeping tool (rod) engaged inside the holes.
Yes I know this is the worlds ugliest Frankenstein build.

Pull down on the allen wrench and then slide the stock off..... if I am remembering correctly.
ETA: Yes, just checked.
1 squeeze handle
2 insert rod
3. slide stock back until it stops
4. pull down on lever via rod and stock will slide the rest of the way off
ETA: You are not doing step 6 in your post. If you had the rifle shouldered,.... down is towards the floor. Not to be funny but you need to use the rod to pull down... not back. It only moves just a bit and then it's free.

That did it - Thanks a ton!
Actually a great feature that it doesn't come off w/o pulling down on rod.
