    Gunsmithing Hall of Shame Thread

After recent rash of goobered-up muzzle devices, it was suggested that we have a thread of sub-standard "Professional Gunsmithing Services".

If you've got some good (bad) work done, show it here.

Gosh, How I wish I had the link to a gun auction IIRC of a "customized" Colt 1911 that a member here brought to our attention a year or so ago. My Lord, it was one of the worst examples of what not to do to any firearm let alone a Colt classic. It truly brought some of us to tears to see that abomination. That one could have taken 1st place in the "Hall of Shame".

I think this is it. The gunbroker page doesn't exist anymore, though.

I miss the days when I took ACs posts for granted.

IG, Please STOP! I take it all back. I don't wanna see no more butchering. At least not during the Holidays. I'm trying to maintain peace and goodwill towards my fellow man, but after seeing what I'm seeing, I'd be taking a 5 pound sledge to the offender's hands to insure they never pick up another tool. "The horror, the horror."

Eurodriver, Yes, I sure miss AC's presence here. Can only try to emulate his conduct on this forum and elsewhere. No easy task for sure.
