    Let me get this straight: guy buys something and it doesn't fit. Before taking a welder, grinder or duct tape to it, he asks the hive mind for some clarification. It gets figured out that he bought the wrong thing. You figure that's a gunsmithing hall of shame? 90% of shooters have done something similar.

    I was waiting for the part where he Dremeled the rail to fit the nuts, but it failed to deliver.

    I remember reading somewhere that MOE rail sections could be installed on some M-LOK handguards. The mounting plates have to be installed from underneath. I've seen it on a friend's rifle.

    That stippling can be fixed. The problem is that it will still be an XD after its fixed.

    I haven't goobered anything (yet), but I was at the range and a guy was proudly displaying his scope mount system on his squirrel hunting gun. It involved a small PVC pipe cut in half and zip ties. I wish I had taken pictures.

    Worst part is, the PVC scope mount probably works fine for what he's doing.
