Back when I didn't know anything about guns I purchased a Bushmaster Carbon 15. Well, after about 1,000 rounds the threaded loop on the lower receiver cracked in half because the bolt carrier and buffer were, for some ****ing reason, designed MUCH shorter than virtually every other bolt carrier and buffer out there:
Well, there was nothing stopping the bolt carrier from bottom out on the buffer tube, which caused it to bulge out and crack the polymer lower receiver.
After some bad customer service from Bushmaster I purchased a Rock River Arms lower receiver and used that with the Carbon15 upper for a while.
I ended up piecing together a better upper and my gun building craze started. While this was happening, my torn apart Carbon15 was collecting dust in the closet. I ended up buying an ATi Omni, another big ****ing mistake.
It came in with a ****ing hole in the magazine well.
I emailed ATi about this and this is the reply I got:
edit: I just noticed that the buffer tube is shorter as well.
