Maybe this is unfairly painting with a very broad brush but it seems like the majority of .300 Blackout enthusiasts I encounter are like the OP in that link. Basically retarded when it comes to guns, these are the same guys who will buy the "Navy Seal" watches advertised in gun rags, and other useless unproven tactical crap.

I took Trump, what I've decided to call this rifle...just now decided that..., to the range today to function check it. It ate two magazines of Remington UMC 120gn like a top with no flaws, pulling the trigger as fast as I can. I barely bothered aiming, I just wanted to see it if ran right. At 25.5 yards, all shots landed on paper, only three shots off target. Those landed about half an inch above the left shoulder. Its good to know that as is I can run it off hand under stress and know that point and and pull will pretty well get the job done. I'll be buying a few boxes of subs soon to do the same test, to see of the pistol gas system will do what I've read. If that goes well I'll do the same test again, but double the mags and an even random mix of subs and supers just to see if that pistol gas system will do it all. After that I'll start accuracy testing and by then I should have my optic to sight in. But yay! Everything is lined up properly and it functions! I'm ready to paint it now and I'll be getting started on that today.
