Agreed - just some odd case where pool weapons (or something that's constantly in and out of an armory with storage limitations) especially with personally owned accessories where tool-less ends up being preferable due to on/off cycles if I had to run an offset mount. That was the only issue I encountered running the VTAC offset mount on an issue weapon, trying to keep track of a 3mm hex key stored with my cleaning kit, which is truthfully quite minor. That said, the stock SF mount ticks all those boxes for me, since I now have the luxury of running them at 12:00, so I run bone stock M300's.
