.........for my Steiner DBAL-A3.

I see on TNVC that they call for DL123; however, the Rayovac that popped out has RL123"A" on it. Are the alpha designations in the front simply based on mfg? Is the "A" at the end necessary or am I reading too much into this?

Can I use CR123A batteries that my Surefires utilize as long as they're 3V??

The Rayovac looks to be the same overall size as my SF's.......

A quick search on Amazon for DL123A pops up several that say "replaces........multiples types".

Just leery of using the wrong power source in a 1K device.

You're not storing the batteries in your A3 are you? JW
