    New SilencerCo Omega Suppressor

Just got the email with the newly announced Omega. Looks like it should be a top contender in the market based on the numbers. With the 2 mounting options included, and at $880 from SilencerShop this may be a decant can.

    Support your local Deputy.

A tad shorter and 6.7oz lighter than the Saker, still F/A rated.

Must have it, just to prove the DB rating.

This one is a little rough for me...looks like a great product. Unfortunately I have a Saker 7.62 in NFA jail and installed a bunch of saker mounts. Looks like this is better in all ways, and doesn't share compatibility with my saker mounts

I'd get it if it worked with Saker brakes

May be my next can. Agree with Jambi, db rating needs to be verified.

I was ready to purchase a Saker 7.62 this week and now my plans are in confusion with the Omega coming out today.

This would be my first can. I'd like to suppress a 5.56 AR, a Sig 556R (7.62x39) and a G3 clone. I expect to add more caliber specific cans in the future but I want to get one going now before any possible issue with 41P. I was sold on the Saker due to versatility but since I am not currently invested in any one mounting system it seems like there are no downsides for me in purchasing the Omega instead. The Specwar ASR mounts are available for all my thread pitches and if I wanted a Saker in the future I could get it with the ASR Maad module.

For those of you more suppressor savvy than me, am I missing anything or is the Omega the can for me?

The only part I don't care for is the ASR mount. I think the trifecta is a better system. I like the surefire and Griffin/Thundbeast as well

I have a Saker on the way too...

I wonder how-much-better this mount is than the Saker mount? Enough to make it worth the compatibility issue?

Surely they must have learned something from AAC's folly regarding mounts.

Also those numbers are pretty insane....

    134 on an AK???
    .300 BLK in the teens?!?

    I hope it's true.

The one limiting factor to consider:

Limited to 10" barrel for .233/5.56 NATO
Limited to 16" barrel for .308/7.62 NATO
Limited to 20" barrel for magnum calibers

The additional benefit you mention is the ability to add a Saker down the road. Or a Specwar. Or a Harvester (at least the Harvester Big Bore, as the Omega shares mounts with this model).
