    LMT...Buy it or Build it?

    Hello to all

Here is my question.....I'm looking to buy an LMT....I have 2 choices

    a) Order a complete LMT rifle
    b) Go to an authorized LMT dealer and build one using ONLY LMT parts.

Can I trust an authorized dealer to put one together for me? let me know what you think.....

I thank you for your time

    Bill

I just finished a 14.5" lmt build. Purchased the upper and bcg complete and added a built up a mega lower with rra lpk, woa tuned two-stage trigger and ctr stock. Not much effort involved and still the satisfaction of doing something myself.

LMT BCG plus LMT charging handle plus complete LMT upper plus complete LMT lower and push the pins in yourself. It will save you about $200+/-. Doubly so if you're just planning on adding a free-float rail and BUIS of your own choosing anyway as you won't be paying for parts you won't be using.

$485 Upper (Grant throws in a charging handle)
    $330 Lower
    $129 BCG
    $944

Most complete LMTs seem to be going for about $1150-$1250. That DOES get you a $120 rear LMT BUIS and a set of $40 plastic handguards, so if you're going to use those parts then the complete gun isn't a bad deal.

If you go the parts way, make sure the dealer does not pull the shell game with you (give you a RRA BCG instead of a LMT, etc).

    Thumbs up More vaule

Having the lower marked LM&T sure will make it worth a lot more if you every want to sell it.

Another item when LM&T builds a rifle it sure is fitted togather in a real quality way.
