Any new feedback from those who shoot the MCX? Especially interested in feedback from the 11.5" pistol/SBR varient. How is the new bolt carrier and hammer block thingy working out?

Looking for the best price or bargain on a used 11.5" 5.56mm MCX with arm brace this week. Really like this system, but the new mods are still too early to tell long-term reliability.

Recent events in the UK have provided a lot of exposure of their MCX's . . .

I spy lot of Lancer translucent mags, in the second what appears to be a Mapul E-MAG w/ window, and they all sport BCM Gunfighter VFGs.

This unit is the UK's answer to our HRT.

No issues with mine, .300/5.56. Mindless bitching as normal about the upgrade.

Noticed that Geissele still does not list the SSA/SSA-E trigger for the MCX yet... I guess they are going to SIG for recall work? The lack of a nice trigger for the post-recall MCX is my biggest delay reason. Is there any other trigger options out there compatible with the hammer-block MCX?

Still looking for best prices. So far, Gunbroker vendors seems to be the lowest option. The local shop wants $1799 for their 11.5" MCX PSB in 5.56...

More akin to NYPD ESU or LAPD SWAT than to HRT.

HRT is our response to their SAS (so is Delta, but the UK doesn't have the same restrictions on domestic military operations that the US does).

Ok, I've posted this here and elsewhere.

Non G marked FPS, ACT or similar "Milspec" dimensioned triggers work
G marked FPS, Any "Milspec" dimensioned trigger will work, including the ACT, etc., in addition, the SSA, etc.

Yes, but do they give you a "G" FPS for the asking, or do you need to send the gun in to SIG? From comments I have read, you have to send the whole gun in with the trigger.

I do not want to drop $1799 on a MCX, then $$$ on a Geiselle trigger, only to box it up and send it to SIG for weeks... But if I go the MCX route, it looks like I will have to go whatever route SIG stipulates. I will try calling tomorrow to find out...

1799--check Buds for one at 1327! I'm guessing you already have the upgraded carriage? I need to call them as they were supposed to send me another G marked FPS, already upgraded.

NYPD's Emergency Services Units and LAPD's Metro D Platoon are your classic SWAT teams. With the exception of course that ESU also specializes in technical rescues (high angle, vehicle extractions, etc.) that no other SWAT team in the country specializes it that I'm aware of.

Scotland Yard is essentially the UK's version of the FBI. The Metropolitan Police already have "SWAT" style teams; they are called SCO19s (police firearms unit), ARVs (armed response vehicle units), TPUs (trojan protective units), TSTs (tactical support teams), and SRO (specialist rifle officers).

Scotland Yard created CTSFOs (the lads in all gray kit) in the wake of the Mumbai terrorist attacks and looking forward to potential threats for the 2012 London Olympics. They were modeled after the SAS, much like our HRT was modeled after 1st SFOD-D/CAG/ACE/etc.

Scotland Yard creates an elite SAS-style unit of armed police trained to respond to a Mumbai-style terror attack in Britain
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ed-police.html

All that to say, I believe they are the first elite unit (LE not Mil) to adopt the Sig MCX.
