So I have been playing around with SBRs for a long while now and this 11.5 is my go-to/do-all set up. It has seen some different configurations over the last 2 years, but this is what I arrived at. For now at least. This is my main go to HD rifle and also gets some hog/small game night hunting use lately. Parts are below..
Lower:
Lewis Machine and Tool Lower with LMT parts kit. SBR on form 1
Geissele SSA trigger group
Noveske QD plate with MS4 sling
Magpul SL Stock
Magpul K2 grip
Battle arms ambi
BCM receiver extension
BCM H2 buffer and carbine spring
Upper:
Vltor MUR 1A
BCM BCG
BCM Mod 4 CH
Aimpoint Comp M4s 2moa with Bobro QD mount
BCM BFH 11.5 barrel
BCM Gas Block and tube
Surefire SFMB-556 Muzzle Brake
KAC URX 3.1 handguard
KAC panel kit tan
Steiner CQBL-1
Surefire M300V scout light
GS scout mount
Surefire SR-D-IT dual switch
Surefire SOCOM 5.56-RC and Mini get swapped on it back and forth. Use PVS-7 3s with it and find this rifle optimal for that inside 100 yard night use. I use Mk262 mod 1s with this rifle and have had success out to 500 yards without a problem. I had a Geissele MK1, an aimpoint T1, and KAC micro irons on it before the CQBL was installed. Wanted the extra .75 inches of space for the CQBL. And also a little bigger objective in the optic for this rifle. Also figured that I can use the visible laser for a back up and then use the M4s as a back up for night. If it came to using the NVGs through the optic, I find it easier to get eyes on with the M4s then the T1. And the M4s balances out the rifle a little more with the suppressor on it. So I just slapped on a M4s that came in last week. Barrel has about 2500 on it and still preforms perfect. The way it sits in this configuration has not seen a whole ton of use yet. Soon as this snow melts a little here in the coming week (hope so), I plan to put a lot more rounds through it.
