On the issue of legalizing suppressors in Minnesota; Looks like things may not be going so smoothly in the conference committee per the email I received from MN-GOCRA.
Please contact Speaker of the House Kurt Daudt and Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk. GOCRA has stated that both these guys are pro 2A but are being pressured by other policy members.

contact info for Bakk and Daudt, respectively.

As of 1:30 this morning, all five pro gun bills are out of committee. Heading for a floor vote today for final passage. The package could be on Dayton's desk by this evening.

Of course, the question is, will Dayton follow through on this threat to veto the whole Omnibus bill just to prevent suppressors from being legalized?

    Anyway, from GOCRA this morning:

Early this morning, the Public Safety / Judiciary Conference Committee passed the Omnibus Public Safety Finance & Policy Bill with all of the pro-gun provisions intact.

This means one of the most important pro-gun pieces of legislation in several years will soon be on the House & Senate floors for a vote:
    • Removing the ability of the Governor to order your firearms seized during an "emergency"
    • Removing the redundant notification process to exercise your Second Amendment rights at the State Capitol
    • Clarifying existing Minnesota law to allow the purchase of long guns in other states
    • Simplifying the reciprocity process for permits to carry
    • Legalizing suppressors for all lawful purposes by civilians

Your calls and e-mails throughout the day yesterday helped make it clear that our Second Amendment rights weren't up for negotiation.

The fight isn't over yet - the legislation will be on the House and Senate floor shortly, perhaps as early as today. It can't be amended there, but it could still be voted down.

Thanks Hmac. I had seen that this morning and was going to edit my post.
I did not realize that Dayton could have it on his desk that early.

Minnesota Governor Dayton signed the Omnibus bill, which included the suppressor bill. Suppressors will be legal in Minnesota as of July 1.
