Sheesh brother, that's a tough pill to swallow. Prayers for you.
MH carbine, shotgun, and pistol are all condition 1. Any other condition requires more than I am willing to sacrifice.

Sasahara,
Thanks for the offer, but a buddy of mine is going to inherit my gun stuff and I like to give him crap about how much I love shooting HIS ammo. I've got enough to get by for a while, especially since I'm in Maine and we're in a record setting snowfall winter.
Thank you again,

Oak, thoughts and prayers to you. Best of luck in your fight.
Colt, muzzle up condition1 between bed and nightstand. Trp op on nightstand condition 1. Every gun I own is condition 1 except my bolt rifle.
G19 with 147gr HST, Mag in, chamber empty. In a wall safe. Honestly half the nights I don't get it out.
There is a carbine, but I have a 2 yo kid. Therefore cable lock through the magwell, and on a high shelf. Probably should just put it in the safe.
Oak, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones.
I have a safe that is loaded with "hot" guns only. The other two safes have only unloaded guns. Regardless of the container, I always follow the four rules.
Sorry to hear about your health problems man.
Personally I keep both my HD Glock 19, and LMT M4 with a loaded mag inserted with an empty chamber.
I've wondered about your situation.
A kid could flip the safety off and hit the bolt release easily. But I doubt they could pull the charging handle and turn the safety off. Bolt released with either emptying chamber or dummy round would seem ideal, similar to 'cruiser ready' with a shot gun
