I have a mini scout light mounted at 1 o'clock on my kmr and the head is right at the muzzle and it gets crazy dirty. just wondering what you guys use to clean it or is it out to far?

To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society. --Theodore Roosevelt--
I haven't seen it suggested here yet. If your lens is a polycarbonate of some kind, I would try Plexus. It leaves a thin film of protectant wax behind and you can really tell once you apply it. It works great for monitors, glasses, you name it. If its plastic, it will work on it. It sprays on like a foam and as a bonus smells good.
*this would be used as a preventative...not really a cleaner

Fireclean. Leave a thin layer on.
toothpaste. A thin film of Chapstick then will keep it wipeable.
^ This. Ill throw my vote in for a light light light coating of oil (not visible of course). My rifle's wml does not protrude enough to get carbon, but my tlr-1s on my p30 gets insanely dirty after a long range day. Makes it nice and easy to wipe. Chapstick (as already stated) works wonders as well.
Thanks for the links and thoughts I have it on an inline arisaka mount and it really puts it out there by the muzzle
Pencil eraser. Cheap. Works well.
I've used tooth paste with a nylon brush for great result in cleaning the lens.
