    Pistol problems. Need help

Here's what I have. Just built a santan tacticsl pistol with a rainier arms 10.5 bbl. bcm gas block. A dsgarms c158 bolt an h2 buffer and a springco white spring. After doing some research I went with that buffer and spring pair. I'm having problems with it cycling it will fire one round and not strip another off the magazine. It's a new magpul mag also. It will also double feed I tried changing to an h buffer and now it will only fire one round I can't figure out what's wrong. Is the white spring too much? Not enough gas?

    Please define "double feed".

Did you seat the gas block all the way against the gas block shoulder, or did you allow for about .028 of an inch stand off?

Blue Sprinco spring would have been fine and it's one the I recommend or use across the board.

Sometimes it won't pull the fired case out before feeding another. So I guess it's not really a double feed. Sometimes it will cycle the bolt all the way back but not feed another rnd also. Yes the gas block is .028 away from the shoulder

"Sometimes it won't pull the fired case out before feeding another"

I'm no expert but that sounds like it has nothing to do with the buffer or spring. it sounds like a gas issue (over gassed)

"Sometimes it will cycle the bolt all the way back but not feed another rnd also"

I'm not at all questioning you knowledge, but I would want be 100% sure if the bolt was actually going back all the way or not. The reason I am saying that is because if it IS going back all the way but is still not grabbing the next round it could most defiantly be over gassed and causing a timing issue. If it actually isn't going back all the way.....than, well its not going back all the way.

again I am not at all trying to be a jerk. just throwing out some info that I hope would be helpful. I am interested in your problem as well and would like to hear from someone that knows more than us.

No that's fine. I just want to figure out what the problem is. I'm also starring to think it's over gassed

There was another thread here about those barrels. I recently fixed an upper that had the same or similar barrel and it used the Crane spec of .071 for the gas port. So I would measure it fist before making the assumption it is overgassed.

I would be looking at an H or H2 buffer. It almost sounds like a gas problem. You need to fire one round and check to see if it cycles and locks back. What kind of ammo are you using?

I got it to fire regularly now. Didn't do anything. It just started working. It's not holding open on an empty mag though. It will when I do it manually I'm using black hills new 55gr Just started firing normal out of no where. No idea why
