Shockwave Stabilizing Brace Review (Pics and vid)

I just got my brace in the mail a couple weeks ago - it was about $54 shipped.

I lurked here for months on the "Seeking input..." thread regarding this device so I wanted to post my review here since I didn't see one.

I gotta say, I am impressed with it. Having checked out the Sig braces (and their prices), the Shockwave brace is the way to go.

It's lighter, cheaper, and has a better cosmetic quality.

*DISCLAIMER* I did not purchase the brace with the intention of shouldering the weapon once the brace was installed.

What is the length of the brace? Shorter than SBX?

Right, and neither did anyone who purchased the Sig Arm Brace.

    Good sales pitch

I forgot to post up part 2 of the review. I had a minor issue (my fault) but remedied it quickly.

The KAK tube would have prevented it in my opinion.

I will get the dimensions of the brace after work and post them up for those interested.

That is correct (roughly). I had to cut a small thickness of rubber hose to put in front of it on my KAK Supertube so it was flush with the end.

biggest mistake with this arm brace is not supplying a way to mount to your arm
unlike the sig that had those straps

and I think its a big mistake not to have arm straps on it when using it
because thats the only reason to have it mounted, for an arm brace
and if you cant strap it to your arm...

yes I realize you can put your arm resting against it when shooting, but I think its more about being able to strap against your arm

would make a nice light weight stock though and seems like a decent price
