This country, and the world, has never been perfect.

But if given the choice, I think I'd be a better fit back then. I can always be the cat that was cool with the brothers. I wouldn't have to live in the south, there wasn't a lot of segregation in the north. Congress wasn't exactly segregated either, first black Senator was all the way back in 1870.

Well the whole of the United States wasn't under Jim Crow you know and the white population was much larger compared to blacks, Hispanics, Indians, Asians, etc.
