    AK74U Red dot mounting options

    hey everyone,

I have an Arsenal SLR-104UR SBR

I currently have an UltiMak top rail over the upper handguard/gas tube cover and want to put a Micro T-1 on it.

Here is my sort of predicament.

On my full sized Russian izhmash ak74 which also has a gas tube cover ultimak rail, a T-1 using the standard supplied factory mount sets it at the perfect height to get a relatively "uncluttered" sight picture while still also giving you the option to use the iron sights if you needed too.

However on the SLR-104UR due to the different sights/specs the T-1 will sit a bit lower which results in a pretty cluttered sight picture. I tried using a LaRue Tactical low T-1 mount but then the red dot is too high. (or at least more than I would personally like).

Is there a good mount out there made by someone else that would put the optic somewhere between the factory Aimpoint mount height and the LaRue low mount height?

-Co witnessing will most likely not be possible with this but that's OK.

And yes I am aware of the StormWerks mount that goes between your rear sight tabs on your top cover however that requires you to drill your top cover which I am trying to avoid.

    Thanks.

ZenitCo B-18. No drilling required and you can still use the factory sights.

RS Regulate is pricey but should get you what you want with co-witness.

    That's the best I have.

Take a look at the Midwest Industries optics mount hand guards as well.
