I've had good experience with PSA. Stay away from the PTAC line. I have several builds using their premium FN parts, and never had a bad day.

There's a 16" BCM middy very mildly used for sale in the EE right now for $550 complete/ shipped. Just saying...

I just purchased a PSA 16: Mid Length Upper with CHF BBL A-2 Profile and Premium BCG and charging handle for $380
    A Blem Classic Lower for 130 + 17 shipping = $ 147
    A Blem Carry Handle for 54 + 8.5 shipping = $ 62.50

    Total of $ 590 cost.

Compared to my colt M4 purchased just prior to Sandy Hook, this PSA rifle has surprised me with its quality and seems to match up to the Colt product quite well.

I will give the rifle a shooting test tomorrow for accuracy and how it handles getting hot. It shot a few rounds out the back door for a quick function test.

Be careful, PSA sales are addicting. I just ordered a 10.5" FN CL CHF upper for a future sbr build for under $300.00. I have four builds using their FN premium uppers and lowers already, with great satisfaction. Now BCM is offering blemished parts at an unbelievable price. I think I need a second job!

They are (were maybe). I have one on my Noveske upper. It's frickin awesome and a hell of a deal. I had to wait a while for it to ship though.

They definitely were, and you could get it with an A5 already installed.
