    You got it. Anything that keeps the sling attachment points where they should be is critical for me. If I can't sling my rifle over my back to negotiate an obstacle or fix a target or whatever I might need to do when I have my rifle, then I'm screwed.

    Off topic... but... with the IDF style slings, you retain African Carry, American carry, and still have a couple of tactical carry options as well. All with little or no adjustment to the sling. Plus, as pictured, the forward attachment doesn't interfer or tangle with the light.

    I am using this surefire mounted on a LaRue offset mount.



    for the sling I modified a COLT side mount for a HK hook

    I have mine at the 5 o'clock position, but the barrel and fh do put out a big shadow on the left side...

    Command Arms Accessories taclight in a Viking Tactics offset mount...

    I really prefer a 12 O'clock mount versus some of the options with a VFG. Main reason is it does not require me to alter my support hand firing grip the moment before I fire.
