    Tactical Tailor Modular Holster?

Anybody using a Tactical Tailor Modular Holster? Complaints/Pros/Cons??

I'm thinking about trying one for a 1911 on a drop-leg panel. It probably won't be used much and I don't want to shell out the dough for a Safariland 6005 or HSGI rig.

I used to run one on a Hellcat several years ago. Its a decent generic holster; but not something I'd choose as a go-to holster if mounting it on my thigh or on a belt. In my experience, it is hard to beat the Safariland 6000 series of holsters. They are more expensive, but they are solid kit that offer fast draws and good retention.

I tried using a Tactical Tailor Modular Holster on a leg panel for my 1911 just like you describe. It was not a stable platform, and I ended up replacing it with a 6004.

I later purchased the HSGI on which I tried mounting the 6004, but did not like the result, as there was too much room between the 6004 holster and the HSGI suspension. However, I really like the HSGI drop-leg mag system.
