Been reading up anyways since I have been injured. Last fantasy books I read were Monster Hunter. Antigovernment, heavily armed redneck mercenaries who are the literal and narrative good guys was pretty much up my alley and a breath of fresh air.
No mushy stuff, everybody dies, 80s hard rock or synth soundtrack.

Okay stupid question since I have never used a eBook of any kind [really love the feel of the paper]. Will the Kondle version work on an iPad or is there an iPad compatible version?

Will work on any platform. There's a free Kindle reader app you download at the same page as the book. I read them on my Apple lap top.

Yes, covered in the book. If you're close enough to see the shimmer, you're already dead. Hence the name.
