any pros/cons? Both seem to be considered fully good to go

I'd say neither.
The HK's are full polymer and while they're kinda neat, the texture/ribs on the mag body did not play well with some of my mag pouches. They're a novelty.
Hk, if you go clear.
I have Lancer mags and have proven to be very reliable. I have no experience with the HK poly mags.
Are these the $20ish HK mags you are talking about? Was thinking of grabbing a few if I can find them.

I have both. HKs have issues seating (locking into place) in some guns, Lancers do not have that problem (in the same guns).
I have a lot of rounds through Lancer translucent smoke mags. I can't remember ever having a problem with them.

I have run both. They both work fine in all of my guns, lock-back, seating, feeding, etc. the HK mags are thicker at the bottom, noticeably, and may not fit many mag pouches.

If you want a clear mag, ETS is the only choice. (Are they still around? I know Magpul was trying to crush them at one point)

I've been abusing several Lancer AWMs for years now. Between those and gen 3 PMAGs, they're all I use.
