any pros/cons? Both seem to be considered fully good to go

I'd say neither.
The HK's are full polymer and while they're kinda neat, the texture/ribs on the mag body did not play well with some of my mag pouches. They're a novelty.
Hk, if you go clear.
I have Lancer mags and have proven to be very reliable. I have no experience with the HK poly mags.
Are these the $20ish HK mags you are talking about? Was thinking of grabbing a few if I can find them.

I have both. HKs have issues seating (locking into place) in some guns, Lancers do not have that problem (in the same guns).
I have a lot of rounds through Lancer translucent smoke mags. I can't remember ever having a problem with them.

I've been abusing several Lancer AWMs for years now. Between those and gen 3 PMAGs, they're all I use.

The Hk mags work great. Have 3 dozen
Ive got some several years old Lancers that I really like. Just used them a week ago to do some testing using various buffer/spring/ carrier weights and they were as usual 100%. If all I had were Lancers I wouldn't fuss too much.
I have 20 and 30 round Landers. No extensive scientific testing, but they seem to work great for my purposes, which include military and LE. I sold off every other kind of magazine I once had.
