    Noveske Gen III lowers

Any encountered or heard any reports of magazine incompatibility (IE-not seating fully or locking up in magwell)? Bout to build this thing out and if I encounter a similar issue as one of my earlier lowers, I'ma blow a ****in gasket.

    Thanks.

I may be wrong, but as I recall Gen III lowers below a certain serial number had issues. I'm sure you can search for it here.

I believe it was only the Gen II lowers that experienced mag incompatibility. I have a Gen III that seats/releases old G.I. Mags and the latest Pmags with no issues.

Maybe so. I am sure he could search for the thread to confirm.

My early Gen II was not compatible with Magpul M3 mags due to the over insertion stop on the back of the magazine IIRC. I forget the S/N range that was effected by this but after a certain period the gen 2's and I believe all gen 3's should work with the Magpul m3 mags.

According to this thread it was the early Gen II lowers that experienced hiccups. Apparently the later Gen II's were corrected and run problem free. Serial numbers affected/summary below:

    thanks Gents.........Appreciated!

Yeah, this is a VERY recent lower. Like one of their FDE's that were on the website for a few short days.

    Thanks again.

It was early Gen II lowers that would not seat Gen 3 Pmags. The easy way to tell if your Gen II N4 lower is compatible w/ G3Pmags is if the relief on the inside of the butt-stock end of the mag well (where the over-insertion tab is shrouded when seated) is a little wider than the integral trigger guard then you are GTG, smaller than the trigger guard's width requires modification of the G3Pmag. No Gen II Noveske lower will seat Surefire 60/100rd magazines but Gen III lowers will since they have a shorter flare that doesn't get into the taper of the magazine.
