Wow... I like this pistol. I've been a Sig fan for years and have owned three. Still have one - a P228. I've been waiting a long time for something like this from Sig. My next pistol may be the Legion.

Looks like an re-run of some classic SIG stuff, and I hadn't heard of this line yet. Doesn't seem to be any info on the board, either. Marketing gimmicks aside, I've been thinking about getting a 229 in 9mm. Anybody have or seen one of these in the wild, and have an opinion on whether it's worth the extra coin? Thanks.
In 9 it's hard to beat a 228. With the extra money you'll save send it to Robert Burke to have the trigger worked on.

So the 224 parts work on the 226?

Handled one today at the lgs. Very nice with well thought out/value adding upgrades. Might grab one after people start reporting on them more.

Anybody else notice that the official announcement said they would eventually include rifles in the Legion series?

So is this a permanent line or limited run?

Now just ditch all of the craptastic diamond plate crap.

Like the looks of it too sounds like some good modifications that are useful and not just cosmetic. What's the deal with the rail is it different than what was on the railed guns? Have not seen one yet but I've been considering either a 320 or a SAO version Sig I've got a few classics but would like to try something different.

    The website specifies "picatinny".
