Federal Fusion MSR - shoots like bananas in my M4 Carbine

I don't understand why the the FGMM shot so poorly, and the Fusion shot so well considering its MSR cousin is off the charts.

I've never had such a finicky rifle...

I suspect bad batch. They are nearly identical. I'd try another lot # before ditching it.

It happens dude. It effing sucks, but it happens.

How many total rounds through the rifle?

Seems like my ARs and my buddies always do a little better after about 1k though the gun.

I've had good luck with HSM and HPR ammo also.

I'm guessing it's a colt that your shooting. A buddy of mine has several 6920s, and a AWB colt in 20", no idea of the model.

One of his 6920s shoots moa to 1.5 moa. The ban gun is pretty solid moa. The other two 6920 get 3-4 moa on the best days.

It is a Colt M4. The rifle, currently (after all the shooting done in this thread) has exactly 175 rounds through it. When I shot the MSR it probably had less than 100 through it.

I'll try another lot of the MSR sometime, but it left a bad taste in my mouth for $20+/box. The Fusion did much better and I'll be using that for any pigs this year. I wish I wrote down the MSR lot number.

Best I could do was 3 MOA at 100 with the Federal Fusion MSR, same with Winchester Ranger 64gr, but Federal MK318 blems did 1.5 MOA... I'm down to my last 10 rounds!
