TTI Extensions Question

A member here was extremely generous and sent me two Zev/TTI basepads. They're meant for G17 sized mags, I however, am trying them on G19 mags since I like to be difficult. Has anyone here successfully tried them on the G19 mags or do they create problems since the spring is so large? They are a royal PITA to get the spring into it admittedly, and when loaded only add +3 instead of the +5 that I believe they are meant to hold. I'm pretty sure this is due to the spring taking up so much more space with the shorter G19 mag body. And yes, before someone points it out I do realize there is one made for the 19 mags that uses the standard springs.

If you understand this is for a G17 and you're using them on a 19, then you understand that you need to trim the springs get to +6 (the TTI's are designed to be +6 on a G17). They will more than likely work with stock 19 springs, although they may not lock the slide back on the last round.

With my G34 I had to trim a very small amount off the spring to get to +6.
