I'm taking the DBAL and PEQ15 out in a few days, but it will be a full moon and a clear sky.
Does anyone know how that affects the IR Illuminator's distance? I won't shoot beyond 200 yards, but I really wanted to see the IR Illum's range on both units for comparison and I'm not sure how the bright light will affect (reduce) it.

I dunno, liking the ATPIAL a bunch more but you can't beat the DBAL's price.
I deleted my post because I didn't like having all that kit on the internet anyway

DBAL-A3's on sale at DSGarms for $950 in FDE color. The FDE D2 is $1266.

I like my rifles like my women - short, light, fast, brown, and suppressed.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
老僧三十年前未參禪時、見山是山、見水是水、及至後夾親見知識、有箇入處、見山不是山、見水不是水、而今得箇體歇處、依然見山秪是山、見水秪是水。

This is an amazing thread, I've learned more in these 11 pages about IR illumination and targeting than just about anywhere else.
What do you guys think of the Wilcox RapTar Lite ES compared to the DBAL-A3 and ATPIAL-C? The price is virtually the same between the three, but the RapTar Lite ES adds a white light and all in at 10oz plus it is upgradable with future modules and software.
Or alternately just a CQBL-1 (similar price as DBAL-I2) plus an M300V or WML-IR? <-- Scratch that, forgot Vampires were poo-poo'd earlier in the thread. Don't like the LED traits either.
