The PEQ-2 should serve you well. Don't bother with the LBS and grid paper when you zero it. If you have a NV compatible RDS, mount your NOD behind it and co-align the laser with the RDS. Should get you very close, but always confirm zero by firing a few rounds and make adjustments as needed.
Is there a final concensus on the C or the A3s illuminator?
The DBAL I2 Has the same illuminator as the A3 and is only $780. I like the PEQ but for $500 less I can like the DBAL more. With that said I still need at least 200 yards of illum
Ah, I see the confusion. We're actually both right! There's two models:
Steiner DBAL-I² Class 1 / 3R IR Single Spectrum Laser
Steiner DBAL-I² Class 1 IR Laser
Glad that's out of the way...
Soooo...how is the IR illum? According to TNVC the A3 and I2 have the same illuminator.
