    Lightweight Performance Rifle Build

Described below is my lightweight AR build. The only part I don’t own yet is the handguard but I think I will go with the SLR, alternatives would be MI, or ERA3. I would like to hear peoples opinions… any suggestions on good parts or how to make it lighter. In parentheses next to a part is the upgrade part I would like to get down the road. The priority with is build is #1 to be accurate shooter. #2 Lightweight. I don’t want to sacrifice accuracy for the sake of having an ultra light rifle.

    Lower:
    Receiver- Spikes Forged (BAD LW)
    Buffer/tube – Mil Spec, PSA
    Castle Nut- M/S (V7 LW)
    End Plate-M/S (V7 QD LW)
    Safety – V7 Hybrid 3 gun ambi
    Trigger- Larue MTB
    Mag Catch/Release- M/S w/BAD EMR
    Bolt Catch/Release – Seekins Enhanced
    Takedown Pins- BAD Ti
    Grip- K2+ w/Ti Screw
    Stock- B5 Sopmod Bravo

    UPPER:
    Barrel- BAD 16” Lightrigged
Gas Block- SLR Sentry 6 Ti
    Muzzle Device – VG6 Gamma
    Handguard – SLR ION Lite 13.7” M-Lok
    Receiver- CMT UPUR 4
    Dust Cover – M/S (Strike)
    BCG- AIM Surplus Lightweight NiB
    Charging Handle - AXTS Raptor

Using numbers off the web the upper weights about 2.5 LBS

    OPTIC;
HoloSun 503c red dot (T1 clone). This is my first build without a magnified optic. I am not sure how I will like it. I may want to upgrade to something with some mag but have had difficulty finding an option that’s L/W. Maybe a ACOG? Leupold VX-3/VX-? Are LW. Suggestions for a light weight scope? I would use an Aero mount. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks
